CLC gear shaping machines are offered in 4 standard models with a wide range of capabilities to meet and optimize your gear cutting application. CLC shapers can be used for external and interal spur gears, helical gears, double-helical gears (herringbone), crowned gears, tapered gears, and more.

The CLC 100-SZ features a maximum pitch of 4 module (6 DP), maximum work piece diameters of 120 mm (4.724″) external, and 150 mm (5.906″) internal. For spur-type components, the CLC 100-SZ cutter spindle can reach 2,000 strokes per minute. The largest standard model is the CLC 1000-SZ, which features a maximum pitch of 12 module (2 DP), maximum work piece diameters of 1,000 mm (39.37″) external, and 1,100 mm (43.31″) internal.

All CLC gear shaping machines feature direct drive torque motors and Fanuc 31i control (or optional Siemens control). Additional optional features include a moveable saddle for more flexible fixturing solutions or a tilting column for cutting tapered gears. In general, all CLC gear shaping machines can be completely customized per application. For example, CLC has executed custom solutions for larger diameter work pieces, such as the CLC 3000-SZ gear shaping machine for parts up to 3,000 mm (118″) diameter.
