Sanderson family: Dawn, Wyatt, Ethan, and Cory
Koepfer America was a sponsor of the first annual Sanderson Cup A.L.S. golf outing, which took place on June 13, 2016. In a message from Cory Sanderson, Vice President of Koepfer America:
My name is Cory Sanderson and it has been about 1 year since my devastating diagnosis of ALS, a neurodegenerative muscular disease. What started as simple slurred speech has progressed into loss of hands, arms, and legs, neck muscles, and respiratory function. Currently, speaking is difficult and laborious. This disease does not discriminate between muscles. Ultimately, one loses all of the muscular function in their body. This horrific disease needs a cure.
One of the great joys of my life is playing golf; I developed many great friendships over the years enjoying this game. My friends, family and I are pleased to announce the 1st Annual Sanderson Cup ALS Golf Outing. A portion of the proceeds will be used for my family medical needs, and a portion of the proceeds of this event will benefit the Les Turner ALS Foundation.
Koepfer America thanks the gear manufacturing community who made a strong showing in support of Cory and his family. With 144 golfers and over 200 total attendees at the event, it was a resounding success.
